SharePoint
People should be able to find the right information and know where it belongs. We help you shape SharePoint around the way your business shares documents, communicates and keeps its knowledge.
What SharePoint does
SharePoint is Microsoft’s platform for sites, shared content and organizational information. In Microsoft 365, it supports intranets and document libraries and provides the content foundation behind Teams. Its value depends on the structure, ownership and working practices around it.
Where it fits
SharePoint is a useful starting point when documents are scattered across shared drives, intranet navigation has become confusing, or teams are unsure which copy to use. We look at how people find and contribute information before designing sites and libraries. An internal policy library, for example, needs owners, useful metadata and a clear route from publishing to review.
Sites and informationGive information a structure people can use.
We plan intranet sites, team sites, document libraries and navigation with the people responsible for the content. The design considers what employees need to find, who maintains it and how the structure will grow without turning into another maze of folders.
Metadata, permissions and content lifecycle responsibilities are part of that design. We work through where a consistent organization-wide approach helps and where individual teams need flexibility. Search expectations should be understood early rather than left until after launch.
Migration and changeUnderstand the content before deciding what to move.
A migration is a chance to examine what is still needed. We inventory sites, content, permissions and dependencies, then identify material to retain, restructure or retire. That helps the target environment reflect current working practices rather than reproduce every historical decision.
Pilots and validation checks cover access as well as files. We plan how links, integrations and user communication are handled during the change, and document the steps needed for cutover and handover.
Working practicesConnect the platform to everyday tasks.
SharePoint and Teams need to work together sensibly. We help establish where a team’s documents belong, how people share them and when a separate site or library is useful. Business workflows can be considered alongside the content they act on.
Role-based workshops give content owners, administrators and users a chance to practise the tasks they will perform. Reference guidance makes the expectations easier to follow after the project team has moved on.
What your team receives
Depending on the work, your team receives an information and site design, an implementation or migration plan, validation evidence and guidance for administrators and content owners. We explain the decisions behind the structure so it can be maintained as the business changes.
Before we start
We begin with content ownership, permission inheritance, retention requirements and the experience users expect from search. Existing integrations and adoption needs also shape the design. Microsoft 365 licensing and broader governance requirements should be checked against the proposed approach.
