Platform Security

People need access to do their work. They also need confidence that information and administration stay within the right boundaries. We help you design those boundaries across your Microsoft environment.

What Platform Security does

Platform security covers the identity, permissions, data protection, and operating controls around a technology environment. It connects business policies with the way users, administrators, applications, and external collaborators actually gain access.

Where it fits

Security decisions often surface during another project: a tenant migration, a new application, or an invitation to a partner. We bring those decisions into the design early, so teams can see how the controls affect the way the service will be used and run.

Security connects with Microsoft 365, Azure, and Power Platform designs.

Start with the access paths that exist today.

Understand who can do what

We review user roles, administrative privileges, service accounts, and the identity dependencies connecting people to applications. The aim is to understand both the intended access and the exceptions that have accumulated over time.

We work through how access is requested, approved, changed, and removed. A clear model helps your administrators manage ordinary changes without relying on personal knowledge of every account.

Design controls around real collaboration and application use.

Protect information where people work

We review permission structures, environment separation, and external sharing against your business requirements. A finance application, a project workspace, and a public document library may need different boundaries.

We document the control decisions and test representative access scenarios. That includes checking what users can see and do, rather than treating a settings checklist as evidence that access is correct.

Build ongoing responsibilities into the handover.

Make controls manageable

Controls need owners after the project finishes. We help define monitoring, change review, recovery responsibilities, and the evidence your team needs for internal checks.

Where a review identifies gaps, we prioritize the work with your team and explain dependencies between changes. The result is a remediation plan people can act on, with operating guidance for maintaining the controls.

What you take away

You receive a review of identity and access, documented control decisions, a prioritized remediation plan, and guidance for administration. Implementation and validation can be included when the project scope calls for them.

Before we start

We begin with your policies, existing controls, risk requirements, external access, and current administration model. We also establish who will maintain the controls and review changes.
